My Brother Kevin had a Birthday on the 19th, I can't believe he is already 17 years old! I still think of him as my baby brother....he hates it when I call him that. Kevin is such an awesome brother, he is always willing to help when I ask him to help me out with the kids, he laughs at my jokes! ....I mean, who doesn't though right? I am hillarious! He LOVES it when I call him Dimitry (that his nickname I gave him) No one can make Danny laugh as much as uncle Kevin have. Which reminds me that next time I take the kids to a photo shot I will take Kevin...Danny doesn't smile for photo shot sessions, at least not for us. Soon my brother will go o his mission, even though I know it's good for him and it's the right thing to do I will miss him so much! But that's in two years, so we still have lots of time to hang out. YOU ARE THE BEST LITTLE BRO.!

Nessa girl is 3 months old, she has the cutest smile ever! Danny loves his baby sister, he is often given her kisses, and when she cries he runs to her and dances for her and tries to calm her down haha, what a sweet kid. But as we all know he is almost two and YES, I do believe in the "terrible two" because he is more wild than ever and he will be turning two in May. I hope to be blessed with more patience when that time comes. This week has been a wild one so far.... he kept taking things out of the dishwasher, broke a cup (scarry), grabbed three big knives and was swingig it everywhere! ( I still have no idea how he got those) almost broke the blinds from his room and livingroom, threw Christmas decorations out of the balcony into people's heads.......they had to run to get to their apartmet! I took him to the park and he kept throwing rocks at a special Ed guy that lives in our building, when it was time to go back to our apartment I but him on the stroller and he screamed until we got to our door, then I unbuckled him and he runned to the parking lot and started dancing and spnning all over, a couple of cars had to stop while I tried to hold Danny AND Vanessa at the same time. He screams when I change his diaper, he runs super fast so sometimes it is hard to chase him. Just reading this post makes me feel physically tired, but I love being his mami, Danny needs lots of love, attention and patience, and I enjoy being able to give him all of that, he is my "terrible boy" who I LOVE VERY VERY MUCH. My life would not be complete without him. He knows when he is in trouble and he comes and gives us kisses when he knows he did something wrong, although sometimes he thinks that just because he gave us a hug and a kiss we will let him to whatever it was that he was getting into. Silly guy.
So if you were wondering why I don't post often, you know see why.....my life is not exactly an open book. He really needs to be outside playing, drainning all his energy outside haha, when he turns three I will start putting him in outdoor sport activites, soccer or maybe a ballroom class......although I think soccer will work better for the kind of energy he has. We will see.

I am posting this late but as you can imagine, life with two small kids gets pretty busy, but right now Vanessa is pretty happy laying in her crib and Danny is in time out, so it is the perfect time to do a quick post.
Vanessa's baby blessing was on Valentines day! Feb. 14th It was a beautiful blessing, and we were so happy that she finally got her baby blessing. My mother in law Judy came from Colorado to visit us for the weekend so we got to spend time with her, and she met Vanessa for the first time! Here are some pictures of that weekend:

I love my two little treasures, Heavenly Father has blessed us so much, we are so grateful for our kids. I wish I had more free time to post more often but I do now so I will take this chance to talk a little bit about what is going on with the kids.

VANESSA: We love this sweet girl! we love how femenine she already looks, we love her demanding little but loud screams, her black hair and brown eyes and cute button nose makes us want to hug her and kiss her all the time. She brings a sweet spirit in the home, she has started to smile and it is just adorable, hopefully we will get a picture of it soon. I can't believe that she is already a month and a half old, part of me loves it because hopefully that means she will start sleeping better! She loves to cuddle in bed with us, and we really like that. Her personality is a lot like Danny's when he was a baby so we are going to be really busy for a long time. She is easily loved by everybody who meets her, my sisters love her and always want to hold her, she brings the sweet soft side of everybody in the house when they are around her. VANESSA WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH! I look forward to Vanessa sleeping better and getting her ears pierced when she is 3 or 4 months, oh she is going to look even more cute!

DANNY: He is a great older brother. He has done so well with the new change in our lives. Sure, he gets a little jealous sometimes, but most of the time he loves being around her and rubbing her head, putting a blanket on her legs, putting her pacifier back in her mouth, oh and we think it is so sweet when he tries to say her name, to him it is not Vanessa, it is: NE! (at least he can say part of her name hahaha) He loves to play, eat lots of fruits, he likes playing peek a boo, he loves to be chased, he likes to wrestle, he is still very much in love with stuff animals, he has recently found books interesting so we read him some baby books sometimes, although he usually won't let us finish the book because he wants to take the book and be the one that flips the pages. He LOVES to dance, our little guy has some great Latino genes in him, he loves to dance salsa, merengue, bachata.....but he pretty much just likes to dance to any fun, up beat music. We love him so much, I love how his imagination just keeps growing, he's learned to entertained himself better, but what he really loves is when everybody in the house plays with him, he likes that kind of attention and gets really happy. For Danny I look forward for spring and summer to come so I can take our little energetic son to play outside and do more outdoor activities, I do not look forward to potty training him since it is easier to have him in diapers right now but he shows signs that he is ready so we will start soon, maybe in a month or two.

*I forgot to add that Danny really likes turning on and off the TV in my parents room.
*Yesterday I turned on some cartoons on the computer for Danny, I turn around and he had made himself confortable on his little couch, with a blue pillow under his feet, a big white pillow on his lap to rest his arms on, and a blanket around him...he was ready to watch some cartoons haha! what a silly guy, when did he learn to do all that?

We are beyond grateful to be here at my parent's house, the help they give me has been beyond awesome, I don't know how people do it with more than 2 kids, but I definitely look up to them! As far as things are right now I am super busy, if it's not with the kids, it's doing laundry or cleaning the rooms, or making meals, or feeding the kids, and I could keep on going because it is a long list, but above all this I have never been so happy, our little family feels complete, and that is a good feeling.

Our lives with two kids have been very exciting and a little challenging, especially the hours of sleep we no longer get. But we are beyond happy with our little family of 4. Vanessa is a sweet baby and doesn't care who holds her as long as she feels loved. We use to call her, "la gatita" because she would never cry, she just meowed, at least that's what it sounded like, but that only lasted about a week. She now yells when she is upset ( Ah!). Danny has done so well as far as getting use to having a sister and sharing the attention, he likes to come in the room and cuddle with her... he is so sweet to her, we love it! So here is the best news: VANESSA SLEPT 6 HOURS LAST NIGHT! It was the perfect way to start of the new year.

As you all well know, our son loves to dance! The thing is he won't dance to just any kinda music...if you know what mean. He wants something upbeat and rhythmic. Anyway, abuelo was playing some music for Danny that he just wasn't feelin', so he left to go play in abuela's drawers. But all of a sudden, abuelo put on some "good" music (music that Danny can cut the rug too) and look what happens.....

This Christmas was extra special because we had Vanessa to celebrate it with. We had a Christmas party on the 24th with lots of yummy food that my mom prepared; we danced, we watched movies and had family home evening were we talked about the importance of Christ in our lives, we had a great time together, and at midnight we opened presents!!! Danny didn't opened his
until the next morning on the 25th because he was asleep. It will be even more fun next year because the kids will be a little older. *Thank you everyone for your Christmas gifts, specially the ones for Danny and Vanessa.

Vanessa Joy Hinkson is finally here!

Ok so here is the story: I had a couple "false" labors for the past 2 weeks, and on Sunday I went to get checked at the hospital again, even though I was 4cm dialted and 80% effaced, they told me to go home because contractions were not consistent enough. But I decided to stay and walk around the hospital for an hour and have them check me after that to see if I had made some progress. Daniel went back home to put Danny to bed; 10min after he left, my water broke! AMAZING! Vanessa Joy Hinkson was born after only 3 hours of labor (horray!) at 11:26pm and her weight: 6lbs 9z, even though she was 3 weeks early, she is as healthy as can be. I am so glad to be back home, I missed Danny so much and was constanly worried about him even though I knew he was well taken care of by my family and Daniel. Daniel and I are so grateful for my family's support and for all they do to help us out when we need someone to take care of Danny. We are so blessed to have Vanessa with us, we are so grateful for extended family that was thinking about us. Thank you everybody for your love! Enjoy the pictures of our little princess.

We went to the mall this year and it went well, except for the part when Danny realized that he did in fact have candy in his Halloween basket and wanted to eat all of it, so after a couple of stores he got really fussy and we went back home but at least we can tell him and show him that he did in fact have his first Halloween when he was one year old!

Happy Halloween!

Danny is going to be Woody from the Toy Story movie for Halloween! I am so excited for us to take Danny trick or treating for the first time. We probably won't be out for very long since he is only one and he will probably get a little tired after going to a couple of houses but I think it will be a fun experience, and we will take lots of pictures so he can look back at them in the future. We are still working on helping him get use to his hat.

31 WEEKS PREGNANT

For some reason when I tell people that the baby is due in December it still feels like it's far away, but when I say that she will be here in two months...that makes it seem like it's so close! I am so excited to see what she will look like. This pregnancy has been great but recently I have not being able to sleep well at night, I guess I am at that stage when my body is so uncomfortable that I cannot sleep until 2 or 3 in the morning!....I sure need my rest though because the next morning is just as busy as the day before, hopefully I will start sleeping better but I am thinking that won't happen until Vanessa is born...and even then it won't happen because she will be waking up several times at night to eat...I guess it's all part of being a parent. We truly are so grateful for the wonderful blessings our Heavenly Father has given us as a family, having another child is a HUGE blessing for us and even though it will come with many challenges we are so grateful that we are able to go through those good and bad experiences together as a couple.

I has been a while since I posted something on this page, my life has gotten busier since we moved to Utah, first we had to do all the packing, then we unpacked, shortly after we had to pack again for our family trip to Colorado, then we came back to Utah and 2 weeks after my parents bought a house and we had to pack and unpack all over again. Their new house is great, it has three floors so as you can imagine Danny has me going up and down the stairs all day long, and of course the bigger the house the more messes I have to clean up. Danny sure loves the big space though. He still doesn't talk much, his new favorite thing to say is "evin!" (Kevin-my younger brother) I think Danny thinks of him as his best friend and brother. He gets really excited when Kevin comes home from school. It has been really nice staying at my parents house, it's great having the extra help when needed.
For those who have met Danny you know that he almost never stays still, now that he is getting older he has more energy than ever and has found plenty of ways to let us know when he is happy or upset. He laughs more and he can actually entertain himself a little better now, I can tell that his imagination in growing. He also loves to shout across the room any sounds he can think of making. Sometimes he will yell something and find it so hilarious and he just laughs and laughs, it is so funny to watch him do things like that. I love seeing him grow and learn new skills, he can run pretty fast now, I remember a while back that a day or two after he learned how to walk he was already trying to run! I couldn't believe it. I think most parents don't want their kids to grow so fast but I am glad that Danny is getting older and exploring more and I think that he has more fun now that he is able to climb big rock and run really fast and go up and down the stairs. It is impossible to keep our babies from growing but I do try to be the best mother I can be for him everyday. I love being a mom and I am so excited to become a mom of 2!
So after our last visit to the doctor we are now for sure of the due date.....December 24! I can't believe I only have 3 months left, I am getting a little nervous but at the same time I just want to hold her and love her. We are seriously thinking of getting induced a little earlier but we will see what happens as we get closer to the due date. I guess I should mention that we are naming her Vanessa Hinkson, no middle name, unless we think of a great one but we don't think middle names are that important.
Also, Daniel started student teaching a couple weeks ago and he loves being there and he is enjoying his internship, I am glad he picked the career of his dreams and that he has no regrets.

Daniel's Graduation Day!

Today has been a great day for all of us, but specially for Daniel. He is a hard worker that has many goals and ambitions for his life; there are so many things I love about Daniel but one of them is that he loves learning and he is excited to finally start working with his degree. We are all so happy today....HE GRADUATED FROM BYU IDAHO!..... so we went out and took some pictures at the school garden, after that we went home to get changed and went to the water park! it was so refreshing to touch the cold water because today is a really hot day! Once we were done at the park, we went to get some yummy ice cream at coldstones to celebrate Daniel's graduation. We wished we could of shared this moment with all of our families but that's why we took plenty of pictures, for everybody to see a little glimpse of how happy we feel today.

Well as many of you know Daniel graduation is this Thursday July 23rd! Of course we are so happy that he is finally done with school(at least for a while), and I am excited to get out of here! although I made great friends here who I will miss lots, the country life is not my place to live. Daniel comes from a much bigger state (Colorado) and I come from a much much more loud and more exciting kind of place (Peru of course!) So you see, this is not our comfort zone, yet we have learned to make it our home and we did enjoy the calmness and the friendly people we met in Rexburg. It feels like we have been here for so long that I started to think that it would be fun to grow things in my garden (once we get a house), well now I think it's crazy, I wouldn't know the first thing about taking care of a plant! I will leave that to amazing people that have that kind of dedication and talent. But honestly, we think that Rexburg is the perfect place to go to school, the spirit was always strong on campus, and there weren't as many distractions, I would of love to finish school here, but that will have to get done somewhere else now that we are moving.
Danny is more active than ever, he is almost always in a good mood, but he can be a little dramatic sometimes, which even though we don't usually like it when Danny throws a fit for small things we can't help to laugh sometimes, "what a little character" as Daniel would say. He is starting to be more vocal, thought I can't make any sense of what he says, but he is starting to reply back to us... in his own way of course. He does growl less, which is a good thing, people were staring to think that he didn't like when others talked to him because every time someone came up to say how cute he is he would just growl and them. I was starting to get tired at explaining that he wasn't mad, it's just the way he "talks".

Now onto baby #2: Well, he/she is moving tons! I cannot believe it, with Danny I felt his first kick/move when I was 5 months pregnant with him, but with this baby I felt it as soon as I got in the 4Th month. Which made us wonder if this baby will be more active than Danny.....NO, IMPOSSIBLE!!....RIGHT?! ha ha but in all seriousness we are so excited to find out what the sex of the baby is, I think that the ultrasound will be done next month but it might be in September, for sure my mom will be the first one to know, after Daniel of course.

*We are moving into my parents house for a couple of months until Daniel is done with his internship, after that we will see where the Lord takes us, which I am very nervous about. But we are so grateful for the help that my family is giving us, we are excited to move in with them and for Daniel to get to know them better. Danny will have NO PROBLEM adjusting because he LOVES his abuelitos! He also loves his aunts and uncle Kevin. My brother room is Danny's favorite place to play at my parents house because uncle Kevin has all the cool stuff, playstaion, gamecube, gameboy, guitar hero, controllers, an electric guitar, cables, a computer....everything a child like Danny dreams of touching and playing with!!! ready or not Kevin here he comes!

I was looking at all of the pictures we have of Danny in our computer today, and it made me feel like crying by looking at pictures of him as a newborn. He has grown so fast, I never thought I would like it but lately I am loving the fact that he is growing and maturing (as much as a year old can) and being less fussy, and being a little more independent; it makes it so much easier now that he can point at what he wants. People always talk about "the terrible two's" but we had to experience "the terrible one!" A few of days before he turned one he had become extremely dramatic and fussy and he started to hit a lot!, good thing that ended about 4 days ago, thank goodness!, we are still working on not hitting other babies or kids at church, we are not sure where he could of learned that, it's not like he is around other kids a lot, and in our Spanish branch we haven't seen kids who do that. The other day I was watching a 7 mo old baby, he started to fuss and Danny just stared at him and as soon as he started crying, Danny threw a toy at his face, a couple of toys actually, I had to run and save the baby from my own child. It makes me laugh thinking about this because if "the terrible two's" is a lot worst than this, then I am not sure how I will handle it.....good thing we have quite a few months till then. But he is not all wild, he is a very loving baby: he gives me several kisses everyday, he loves to hug me, sometimes I will be in another room for a couple of minutes and when he sees me again he acts like he hadn't seen me for a long time and runs to hug me. He laughs a lot and he loves it when we pretend that he crashed us with his little push along car ( one of his birthday gifts from Grandma Judy). He likes watching baby Einstein clips online while sitting in our laps, and he LOVES eating fruits.

We want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes, gifts, and for coming over to celebrate his first birthday with us. At the beginning of the week Danny got the stomach flu and our poor little guy was sick all week long, but during the weekend he felt much much better but still he was a little fussy. We had some family and friends over for cake and ice cream after chuch, and with the help of my family (thank you!) we put some decorations up and got the little party together. I love it when family comes over, we wish we lived closer to them and we are so greatful that they were able to come celebrate with us.

*We are sorry we are not posting more pictures of his little birthday party but our camera run out of battery at the begining so everyone else took some pictures with their own camera, I will post more pictures once they email me the ones they have!

*But it looks like the chocolate cake and ice cream got Danny pretty hyper after everyone had left. It was so funny seeing him laugh so much, we didn't really do anything but anything that my brother Kevin did made him laugh. We were very grateful for uncle Kevin because that wore him out and he slept like a little angel all night long.

1st Hair cut/11 mo old pictures

Today Danny got his first hair cut! don't worry everybody, he still has plenty of hair. Now that the weather is becoming warmer and warmer Danny and I play outside more often, and his poor head is often hot and sweaty, even thought we thought he looked so precious with long crazy hair, he needed a hair cut, and he looks adorable with short hair! After a nap we took him to the garden at BYU-I and took some pictures. Next Sunday he turns 1 year old! we are excited to have some family and friends over for cake and ice cream.

So we have a great update for the family, Danny is now walking! (he accomplished this about a couple of days ago, perhaps a week) He takes about 8-10 steps on his own and I am sure he could do more but he prefers it if we give him our finger or our hand to hold on to, he is a sweetie! So I guess we could say that he started to take a couple of steps at 9mo and started walking at age of 10mo old! And now he is 11mo old..WOW! We will have a little birthday party for him this month, it's going to be great!

This is what we did for fun Saturday morning: we played outside, took some pictures, Danny had a blast making a mess but hated it when mom discovered what he did and she put all his "toys" away and said "no"... that really made him upset and his new thing is to lay on his tummy when we say "no" and fuss for a little bit. we also went on a walk, read some books, made more messes, Danny made a lot of lion noises, screamed papa pretty much all morning long and my favorite part is when we both went for a nap!

BABY #2 ON THE WAY!

I don't have enough words to explain how happy we are about having another child. We have been so blessed since we got married and this is a BIG blessing for us, to be pregnant again, to give this baby lots of care and love. Danny has changed my life for the better, he has made me a better person, a more patient and loving women, my love for my little guy is so big and so endless I am not sure how i will share that with a new baby, but I am sure that when I have our new baby in my arms I will feel the same love, and I will feel like a more complete person. Daniel is beyond excited about me being pregnant again, I don't even know were to start....his eyes are filled with joy when we talk about it, he even bought a few things for the new baby already...pink stuff I might add, he really wants a girl, and we both do, be would love a baby girl but at the same time we would love to have another boy so him and Danny can have more things in common, but no matter what the sex of the baby will be we will receive this baby with open arms and with a big kiss. When Daniel and I found out I was pregnant again it got me thinking what a miracle it is to be blessed with children, what a miracle it is to hold a human being in my body for 9mo. So far my pregnancy symptoms have been wonderful, I just feel some cramps once in a while and I am a little tired, I love it! when I was pregnant with Danny I always felt sick, we hope that I am able to feel this great throughout the whole thing, I started going to gym before trying to get pregnant again and I have kept it up so far, I go 3 times a week, and by just doing that it gives me more energy through out the day.
We are excited for the summer, for afternoon walks, for playtime at the park with Danny, for picnics, for going to the lake, to wear cute pregnancy clothes, we are specially excited for Daniel to graduate!......and let's not forget....DANNY'S BIRTHDAY NEXT MONTH!! May 31st, the day that Danny was born and brought more joy to our life. Our little guy is not walking on his own quite yet, he has taken a couple of steps by himself like I mentioned last time, I can't believe he will be one year old soon, he already has 8 teeth, a ton of hair, nice chunky muscles, loves to say papa (actually he usually just yells when he says it: PAAAAPAAAAAAA), he got checked a couple days ago and his Iron level is great, he is a very content and loud boy, everybody is always telling me two things: that he is handsome and that he has a very boy deep voice for a baby....I am guessing they say that because he is usually making some kind of loud noise no matter where we are haha.
So here is a picture of me pregnant with Danny.....em I ready to be this big again?...I remember feeling at this point that my belling button was going to pop out.

Bravo! Danny finally said his first word, before he would just say: wawawa..and then scream WA! In rare occasions he would try to say something with an M, but he has gotten his p's down for a while so I figured we might as well work on the word papá! Daniel had an hour break from work so he came to eat dinner with us, after we got done eating we were all playing on the floor wrestling my big teddy bear that Daniel got me for valentine's when we were dating, anyways so then I said: "Danny di papá"...and sure enough he said it perfectly with the accent on the last pá! and every time I asked him to say it he would look at Daniel and say papá or papapá. By the time we got it on our camera he was way to entertained with the teddy bear to pay us much attention, but on the second video he almost does it like he did it the first couple of times, so we hope you enjoy a short clip of our smart and adorable little son!

I don't have enough words to describe how blessed I am to be a mother. Danny brings so much joy to our home, he has made big changes in me. I love Danny so much, and I wish he wouldn't grow up so fast, I want him to be my baby Danny for ever! and to need me for almost everything. I found a song that says exactly how I feel about Danny:

One Two Three Steps!

For the last 3 days Danny has taken two steps all by him self, and yesterday he took 3 steps! I don't know if that's consider walking now but he is 9 months and he has already taken a couple of steps. I was really excited seeing him do that because he has been able to walk just fine for the last little while when someone is holding his hands but last week he was really lazy and did not want to walk at all, if we tried to get him to walk he would sit and then flap his arms in the air and then cross them (that was his way of telling us: no way!) So I guess it won't be too long before he can walk! WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU DANNY!

Oh my goodness, Danny and I are going bananas!(crazy- for those who don't know what going bananas mean) The last couple of days have been overwhelming, me not feeling so good, lately I feel yucky and I m not sure why, perhaps a cold, and Danny in the other hand has had it with being inside all the time and he is very bored being here, and the only thing that he still finds enjoyable is sneaking in the bathroom to play with the toilet! so if Danny is not pleased it means that mom has to work extra hard, and if that doesn't work it means Danny and Mom are going bananas! So Daniel and I decided that I would take him to work from now own so I can have the car and go visit friends or run any kind of errands with Danny, just anything that gets us out of the apartment, and it has worked wonders so far! It is way too cold in Idaho to be playing outside, man I cannot wait for the summer, make that a: WE cannot wait for the summer!
Oh and guess what? I called the doctor's office to see if they could check Danny because he has had a cough for a while now, so I tell the nurse: "I need to make an appointment for my son Daniel Hinkson", she says: "oh why? is he sick?"..........um..yeah I'm just calling to hang out with the doctor, not! seriously. So that was my story of dealing with an unintelligent person today, wow, it felt good to vent.

Daniel is the sweetest husband ever! After running errands all day on his only day off from work he came home with some beautiful flowers (notice how good he did on picking the flowers) When he got home I greeted him with a hug and with the corner of my eye I spotted the flowers on our kitchen table, without thinking twice I scooted him to the side and ran towards the flowers, well I think you get the point that I was very excited, I love flowers, any day is a good day to receive flowers, specially if it's from the love of my life! My little sister Melanie is visiting for the week so she took some pictures. It's great having her over because she is always playing with Danny and I have had the chance to relax a little bit. We have a new baby!!! it's a water turtle and his name is Charlie. A friend of mine and I went to a flea market they had at BYU-I. We thought it would be fun to check it out and see if we could find anything for our babies or for ourselves. And as soon as I saw the tank with a ton of baby water turtles I felt in love immediately and got one! I came home and SURPRISED Daniel, he was a bit shock for a little while, probably thinking that maybe one day I will bring a dog home and not ask him about it first........No worries Daniel, I would never do that, but this cute little thing is so adorable, I think it will keep me from wanting another child for a while hahaha. Although this baby doesn't smile at me or yells at me, or bites me or pees on me, I love him very much, and believe it or not Daniel is also getting attached to Charlie and we have only had him for a day! I got him a tank and he is a happy little fella swimming and playing. Sometimes we get him out and let him run around, he is pretty fast, of course we don't do that when Danny is around, and we make sure to wash our hands pretty darn good, not to mention cleaning the place he was crawling around. Anyways, some people will probably think we are crazy to have one but we are enjoying it 100% I feel like a mom all over again!!!!!

For some reason his hyper time of the day is about an hour or so before bed time, which it's nice because it wears him out and usually he will sleep throughout the night. I needed to get dishes done and I need him to stay in the living room so I got out a bag that had a ton of straws, it was closed to I figured he would just shake it and enjoy the noise it made, but I guess he shook it hard enough for all the straws to go all over the place! he sure enjoyed it.

This video looks a little blurry, maybe because the room was dark, I filmed it just before bedtime so his eyes look a little puffy.

OK so on this video you can actually see some of his teeth!!(watch carefully) It has been hard trying to take a picture of his teeth because his gums don't really show all that much when he smiles, according to Daniel that means he will have a killing smile haha. It was perfect. My sister Karen and her husband Michael drove Danny and I back to Idaho to spend the weekend with us. We got back on Saturday, just in time for Valentines! I saw Daniel and I felt like I hadn't seen him for months, a warm and overwhelming feeling took over me when he kissed me and gave me a big tight hug (it's funny how two weeks seemed an eternity for us) That night we all went to eat at a Italian restaurant (Corino's) the food was good but what was even better was the good company. Karen and Michael are a lovely couple and they show their love all the time all day long, It makes me so happy to see them so in love and to see how much they enjoy each other. Daniel got me some flowers, a gift card to Khol's ( my favorite store to shop), a heart basket that had bars soaps in shape of hearts and also rose petals, I have not used it yet but I will, I m saving it for a very stressful or tiring day! oh Daniel is so amazing, he got me this big box of chocolates yum yum! and the best part.....her it comes!!!!! A GIFT CARD TO A SPA!!!! I know! I was like WHAT?! I have never been to one so I m excited, I think I will go sometime this week, I can't wait. The sweetest husband ever right? Daniel got a shirt and tie that he absolutely loves! So we had a pretty amazing weekend.

But I guess I better start writing about what people really want to know : Updates on Danny! Well, our little wild thing is crawling super fast, if I get down on the floor with him he will chase me as fast as he can, it is super cute, he looks like a baby gorilla when he crawls, all chubby and all. But speaking of chubby, he has gotten taller so he does not look as chunky. He has more energy then ever, and he definitely likes a challenge, he will climb anything and anybody to get to what he wants. He is really into playing with the kitchen drawers and sadly he has closed his finger by doing that, we have to keep an eye on our little man all the time because the couple of seconds that we go to another room it is more tnan enough time for Danny to do something that stops mama's heart. He can walk pretty good when we hold both of his little hands so we think he will most likely learn to walk before he turns a year old. Let's see what else..oh yes, he loves to play with Daddy's movies and just two days ago he discovered where the toilet paper is and found it hysterical to pull all the paper down haha so now we have a stash of toilet paper in a corner we didn't want to waste it and throw it away. I guess besides the fact that he is teething super fast the latest news will be that he can climb up the stairs!! he learned it all on his own while we were staying at my parent's place, he does it without help, but it scared me so I stayed right behind him while he played, but I don't have to worry about stairs at our apartment. He is growing fast and we can't wait for the Hinkson family so see him. We are taking a vacation and going to Colorado to visit Daniel's family. We are so excited to see them and for them to get to know our son better, see you all in three weeks!

I cut my bangs about a week ago and I really like it because it's different and because Daniel loves it! I love doing something different to my hair, but my next goal is to have it long and curly again. I am in Utah again with danny, but this time is not just for a fun visit, I got all of my wisdom teeth out yesturday, I woke up several times last night because of the pain.......it was a long night but the great news is that Danny slept throughout the night! I coudn't believe it, I m ok if he doesn't do it again tonight, but last night I really needed him to sleep good and he did.

Danny and I are now in Utah visiting the family, but mainly to help out with my sister Karen's wedding! Time flies by...I can't belive that it was 8 years ago since my family and I first came to the United States and now I m married to a wonderful man and I have a child! and now she is making a huge change in her life that will make her very happy. She is getting married Jan 16 and we are all so excited for her and Michael. They are a beautiful couple and I ejoy being here and helping out as much as I can....or as much as Danny let's me haha. It works out great though because there is always someone that can watch him here, my sister Melanie, my mom, or my brother Kevin. On Jan 10 Karen got her endowments at the Timpanogos Temple. I m so proud of her and love her very much. After the Temple session we were talking about how much we miss Daniel and that only he was missing there. Daniel we LOVE YOU! Danny and I miss you everyday and every minute.
After Karen got her endowments we had a bridal shower for her and it turned out great, we had some fun games and really good food. I can't wait for the wedding! not to mention that Danny gets to wear a super cute outfit that I bet will melt your heart and make you laugh at the same time!

First time eating a straberry and he loved it!

An update on Danny: He loves to stand up by supporting himself on furniture, boxes, pillows and anything he can get his hands on, also he loves to crawl! Not to log ago he really enjoyed us holding his hands while he walked, he liked it so much that for a short while that's all he wanted to do all day and would fuss and cry if we didn't do just that. But now that he can crawl witch was almost a week ago, he doesn't want people to help him, he wants to stand on his own and crawl and if we hold him he flexes and arches his back. It's actually pretty funny unless of course I m trying to change his diaper or trying to give him a bath, then that becomes more of achallenge for me. He is 7 months old and I still can't believe it's been that long. He doesn't really do much baby talk....well, his baby talk is more like a soft growl or sometimes he just says ah! and gradually get's louder and louder. He is a sweet baby. WE LOVE YOU DANNY.

Our Christmas update....FINALLY!!

We had an amazing Christmas!! my family came up to spend the holidays with us. We enjoyed their stay so much, specially Danny. So, for those who don't know, our Peruvian tradition is a little different than some. I spent all day making dinner and dessert for our big Christmas eve dinner, and at midnight we opened presents!!! I don't understand how people can wait till the next morning to open gifts and to hug each other and say Feliz Navidad!!! It was so much fun. In Peru after hugging family you go outside and hug all of the neighbors as many as you can, then the party begins and the sky is light up with huge fireworks, it is one of the reason why no body sleeps, because the fireworks would wake you up, the sky doesn't get dark again for a while. After dancing and talking a lot we usually have hot chocolate and fruit cake before going to bed. Even though I wasn't in Peru, this Christmas was spectacular, I had the man I love the most at my side and a little boy who brings so much meaning into my life...what else could I ask for?
Danny is usually in bed at around 8pm. But that night he woke up right at midnight! I guess he couldn't wait to open his present either hahaha. His eyes are pretty puffy when he wakes up so you can tell by the pictures that he had just woken up and was confused about all the noise that late at night. But with the help of his daddy he opened his gifts and loved them all. We are so grateful for all the wonderful gifts that our wonderful families gave us. I think that it was the most perfect Christmas I have personally had for a log time. Daniel and I agree that Dannie's first Christmas was perfect!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Alright, I couldn't wait to post these pictures, Danny looks so adorable, he looks like a little angel. I cannot believe that we are so blessed with so many things but specially with our son. We are moving to another apartment complex at the end of the month so we have a lot of things to do, this is the main reason I m posting the pictures of Danny, I can't say I will blog anymore during this month but I will try. Wow, it has been a while I know, but we have been busy busy busy. Danny has his teeth coming out and he gets pretty fussy. But he is still a very happy boy overall, it seems like as he gets older the more energy he has to get into stuff/trouble. Our family went to Utah two weekends ago, it was a lot of fun, Danny and I stayed for a week and we just got back two days go, we were way happy to see Dan. For those who don't know my older sister Karen is getting married!!! we are excited for her and her fiance Michael Zaro, they are so in love, and so happy, we wish them the only the best! Other good news: Daniel has two more weeks of school and the semester is over!!!

Danny is a very lovable boy, he is so darn cute, his laugh is so catchy and makes everybody laugh, and his smile melts my heart. Daniel and I are so proud of Danny, we are so thankful for him, we are grateful for our everlasting love, and specially for the gospel. While our stay in Utah Danny got some cute outfits from the grandparents and my cousin Edith's family, so today we went outside and took some pictures of Danny. He loves grabbing the leaves and of course, everything he touches goes to his mouth. I m sad the winter is getting closer, not just because I don't like the cold, but mainly because Danny loves going outside and we won't do it often at all when the winter comes...I will just have to find activities for him to do, that will
be fun.

Happy Halloween everyone!! Danny did not get dressed up for Halloween this time, maybe next year though. I know some people were probably expecting Halloween pictures but we decitded to take pictures anyways because he is now 5 months old! It has been crazy around here trying to catch up with Danny, I cannot longer leave him for more than a couple of seconds, he is now a master at doing his army crawling, he does is so fast, when he wants something he goes for it, if it is something I don't want him to touch I call his name and he looks at me serious then when I turn around he quickly crawls towards the object he wants, if I m lucky and I catch him I call on his name again and he looks up and slowly puts the object in his mouth, so little and he is already testing his limits haha. He is a very fun child to be around, he is always happy unless I took away something he worked so hard to get his hands on. The big challenge right now is changing his diapers. He turns and wants to roll, touch his feet or go on his tummy and he is a strong boy!! so now changing his diaper takes a lot longer than it should. Before I forget I wanted to share with all of you how happy we are as a family, Daniel loves Danny so much and it is so fun watching them play and make each other laugh; we are so blessed to have a healthy son, and the gospel in our lives. I want to take a few seconds and Thank our families (Daniel's and mine) who have loved us always and supported us in many ways but specially emotionally. I miss my family in Utah so much and I think about my family everyday and how much they have done for me all my life and that are still doing for me. I hope they know that I have great respect for them specially for my parents, they are a huge example for me. I love my relationship with my Mom and my Daddy has always been so kind and so loving towards me, him and my mom always speaks to me with love.
As a family we are going to visit my family in Utah sometime in November, we are all so excited because Daniel hasn't been able to visit because of how much he has to do at school and work. We can't wait!!!

Danny and I are having a great week! My Dad and my brother Kevin came to our home last weekend to spend time with us and to pick us up to spend a week in Utah at my parents house. It was nice for Danny because he got to see family and he sure loves the atention! but it was also good for me because I was able to relax somewhat, my parents made sure that I came to relax, not to clean or run errands, I needed it and I feel like I have more energy to keep taking care of my sweet and super energetic son. I love coming to see my family, but I never forget about my dear Daniel, I have missed him so much and everyday I picture myself running towards him and giving him a big hug and a kiss, I can't wait to do just that when Danny and I go back home on Saturday.

I m sure most of you have heard that Danny now rolls to his tummy and can do an army crawl! We are so proud of him, we heard most babies are not able to do that until they are at least 6 months, and he learned it all just before he turned 4 months. He is such a sweet boy but lately he has been pretty fussy, he doesn't want be be on the floor or sat down or on his swing, he wants to be hold by mommy and chew on anything he can get his hands on. The doctor seems to think he might be teething, he bites and drools and chews a lot. Yesterday he was very upset, I picked him up and he grabbed my face and bit my chin! it hurt a lot, so I pulled away and he grabbed it angrily and bit it twice, needless to say it still hurts a little. The other thing is that now that he is getting older, it is a lot harder to keep him entertained! he plays by himself pretty good but just for a little bit, he gets bored at the apt, and he only calms down if I take him outside or if I visit people, or they visit us. He loves meeting and seeing different people. It is interesting seeing his personality show a lot more as he is growing, Dan and I know for a fact he will have a hard time when we have a second child. But I hope to give all my kids all the attention they need and deserve. We love being parents, and although I m always tired, Heavenly Father always blesses me with the energy and patience I need to take care of Danny like I should. Well, you can see on these pictures he isn't very excited to be sat down, on the first one he is reaching for me to pick him up, I love the second one, he has discovered that he can touch his feet a couple of weeks ago and just loves grabbing them! It has been a while since we posted so I had tons to say, hopefully I will get back on track and post weekly.

We had an incident last night, baby Danny stopped breathing for a little while, we took him to the hospital and he is alright now, needles to say, we are so grateful for our Heavenly Father, grateful for the gospel, and so grateful for our son, moments like the one on this video, makes us appreciate so much more what we have. Danny is such a big blessing in our lives. We are so happy for his quick recovery.

It was so nice that labor day was on Monday because Daniel had the day off. Danny and I got to spend all day with Daniel. We invited some friends over for dinner and a movie, it was a lot of fun, specially for me because I love and need to socialize, being at home all the time with baby Danny is the best but I also like visiting friends, going on a walk, taking Danny on a stroller ride....it's a good balance, it keeps me happy and Danny loves going outside.

Danny looks older than most babies his age. He is so cute and a big mama's boy, he is very attached to mommy and wants to be held all the time! Daniel use to post things on our blog but now I will be doing it. Our son Danny is 7 weeks old!!! he is growing so fast. Everyday he changes, but he is always a sweet baby. We are so happy to be parents. I love being a mom, I m so happy with my life and with my little family. I m so glad I was part of bringing him to this world. Danny is just so adorable, he smiles a lot more, and sometimes he giggles! There are a lot of babies in my ward that were born close to our son's due date and they are all smaller than he is! we love him so much. He still has a lot of hair, everyone keeps telling me that it is all going to fall off, but so far, only a little has come off, so I guess we will have to see! Well, so far, he sleeps about 2-3 hours at a time during the day, and after midnight, 4 hours. So it isn't much but I m getting use to it, sometimes while I m giving him the bottle I fall asleep and when I wake up, he is looking up at me with a sad face, and his bottle is by his ear and the milk is going down his neck!! I feel so bad but it has only happened twice...., and yes he has shot his pee at me while I m changing his diaper, but only at the beginning, now I think I m getting the hang of it, or maybe it's just luck. Well, this was just a little update, but I will try to keep posting often!

The first thing Daddy does when he comes home is tell his son how much he loves him and gives Danny a big hug. This is also nice for mom since she sometimes doesn't get to take as many breaks during the day as she might like.

We still are unsure what is going to happen to his hair! When we give him a bath and wash it, it is real straight, but then when it dries, this is how it looks. We both would love for him to have curly hair, even though he would hate it later on. I mean come on, chicks dig a guy with curly hair, right?

This is right after sacrament mtg when we blessed the baby. One of the family friends of the Villars came to be there for us as well. As a side note, Blake at the top left served his mission in Peru and met the Villars while they were living there.

This is obviously where little danny chills most of the time. Either there or in our room. He loves to sleep on his tummy, he almost instantly goes to sleep after being fed when we lay him in this position.

In just a week he opens his eyes and looks around all the time. Sometimes if you are lucky, he'll look you straight in the eye...it pierces deep when he does.

This is a couple weeks ago when Karen, Jess's sister, came up to visit us. She was up for the weekend, through monday and we were able to have a lot of fun while she was here. F.Y.I., one of the things that Karen loves the most about coming to see us is that Jess styles her hair.

We took a trip down to Utah and are spending the weekend with Jess' family. Here in the pictures we are with their family Edith and Javier and their kids. As you can tell, Jess is the center of attention. Even when we walked everyone congregated around Jess immediately and I was just kinda standing there in the doorway. After about 5 minutes they were like, "oh hi, sorry we didn't mean to leave you hanging there." Whatever, I know that this is Jess' time to shine. It's never really been about the dad. HAHA.

I would have to say that these are definately some of our favorite photos together. We enjoy being up here in Rexburg, but sometime the extreme weather conditions are a little more than we care to deal with. Back to the pics again, our friend, Andrea Sanchez took them and I must say that she did an awesome job.

I know that every man that is married says that he is the luckiest man alive, but I have to admit that when I say it, I feel like it is more true!! Jess makes me so happy and she is always so pretty. In this picture, she is about 6 months pregnant. It is so much fun for me to put my hand on her stomach and feel my boy kick back. I know that he is telling me hello...most of the time anyway. I love to lay on Jess' shoulder and sometimes put my head on her tummy. When I do this, our son is like "hey, get up off my grill pops," and then he gives me a "punch in the face," as I would put it. Jess doesn't like it so much cause I always wake him up and then he starts dancing around inside her and that makes her a little uncomfortable, but she is really patient with me and knows that I love to feel him move.

This is from a little while ago...and if you haven't already deducted, this is from Valentine's day (we opened our things early as you can see by the date on the fotos). Jess loves See's candy, so while down in utah, I snuck away with her little brother Kevin so that I could get her a few things. Now, my wife also loves makeup! Something that she has been wanting for some time are makeup brushes from The Body Shop. Now I don't know a whole lot of things about beauty products; however, these brushes are so soft!!! Anyway, this was exciting for both of us. I think that most of the time I have just as much fun picking out gifts for Jess as she does getting the surprise. One of my personality flaws is that in all my excitement for her to see what I get her, I will tell her, "I got you something......but I'm not going to tell you what." Of coarse she hates this because as soon as I tell her, she wants to open it right away. I can normally hold out for a day :) and then give in. This is why we often open our presents early.

Obviously, this is Sunday and we are just getting ready to go to church. Melanie is the one in the front with the black and white dress and she is standing next Kevin. In the back is Jess, Karen, and their parents, Gerardo and Ana. We love going down to visit them and wish that we were actually living in Utah so that we could be closer. Just for your info, Gerardo is currently working at myfamily.com, Ana is working at a hospital (I am not sure what the name is), Kevin is a Sophomore in high school and loves to play soccer, Melanie is graduating this year from high school and will soon be going to college, and Karen is studying at BYU with a major in communications.
